Celebrate Celtic Style

There are over 30 members to the cast!

Amongst the performers is the state's premier pipe band, The City of Blacktown. The band will perform numbers from their three latest CD's entitled "Highland Cathedral", "Guilty As Charged" and "Celebrate Celtic Style".

There will be a red hot four minute solo segment from four of the fastest players in Sydney.

A highlight of the show is a display with lighted sticks by the flourishing tenor drummers whom many believe equal the best in the world.

The band also performs the title track from "Guilty As Charged" - The Convict Suite. This fully narrated suite that is interspered with the pipe band, celtic dancers and folk musicians. It details the factious conviction and transportation of convict Robert Owen Nicholson to Australia on the First Fleet, his life in Australia and attainment of his ticket of leave then finally freedom. This Australian composition was written to coincide with Federation.

"The Celtic Connection Dancers" provide the Celtic dancing for the show with Highland and Irish dancers.

The Highland team members perform traditional Highland dances including "the sword dance" and the "Highland Fling" - The Irish dancers perform traditional set steps such as the "King of the Fairies" along with some numbers in the style of "Riverdance."

The group provides an eclectic mix to provide a truly Celtic connection!
